How to Clean Hardwood Floors Without Getting on Your Knees

Hardwood floors have an inborn natural beauty that must be maintained to keep them looking their very best. Dirt, dust and debris are visibly obvious on hardwood flooring. Instead of getting in your hands and knees to clean your hardwood flooring, keep them clean using vinegar, a broom, mop and microfiber dust mop.

Sweep Up Debris

Before a thorough cleaning, sweep dust, crumbs and arbitrary debris tracked in from outdoors and pick up the debris using a dustpan. If dust is the main culprit, use a static dust mop which can be fitted using the disposable sheets.

Clean it Up

Wash a hardwood flooring with a vinegar and warm water solution. Add 1 cup vinegar into a bucket filled at least halfway with warm, clean water. Use a conventional mop or sponge mop to wipe the ground. A sponge mop allows better control of the water, as the aim is to leave as little water as possible on the ground. Afterwards, wipe the floor dry with a microfiber dry mop to stop the liquid from soaking between floor boards.
